It’s the first time in a long time that I woke up and didn’t have a topic on my heart – or even writing on a Sunday morning as I’ve had much inspiration lately, and writing before Sunday.
I sighed a deep sigh, knowing that God would come through, regardless of what it looks like. I’ve walked this path enough times: He always provides.
I opened my Bible app, and, it opened to the last thing I looked at yesterday. Someone had shared a passage and I’d looked it up.
Habbakuk 2:3, which states: For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end, and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.
I smiled at the instruction, and went back to verse 2. This particular verse has been instrumental on my writing journey. It states: Then the Lord replied: ‘write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it’.
Writing has become such an instrumental part of who I am. When I was writing my private thoughts and it was suggested that I should be writing publicly, it was shocking as the person would never know that I’d been writing. Then, God confirmed these instructions. He wanted me to write and share publicly.
My private writing has continued over the years. I have thousands of notes between me and God, and, if I did not have evidence of some of the things with the dates, I don’t know if I would remember them in the same way. I’m now able to look back and truly be grateful for the journey.
My public writing has continued. I’ve written this public blog for over eight years. Never in a million years I would have imagined this.
And… DRUMROLL…
The Lord has seen it fit for me to publish my fourth book.
‘Walking in Love: Learning to Love Better Than Yesterday’
He took me on a journey of loving others well, so that He could teach me to love myself well. An area of my life I didn’t even know was lacking.
I hope you will join me on the journey of loving others, but also loving ourselves well.
The book is available on Amazon.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Dear Heavenly Father, this morning I am so grateful for your instructions to write down the vision. I would not be where I am today, without diligently following these instructions. Thank you for the words that you have given. When the instruction first came, I struggled to believe that you would want to use me, but now looking back, I can say you can use anyone who is willing and submitted to you. Thank you.
