God cares about the things that you care about.
Last week, my daughter had been begging me for something. Like begging. I told her no. She went so far as to pray that God would answer her prayer.
I chuckled and thought – this is one prayer that God isn’t going to answer, because I’m not buying this thing.
We were sitting in church and she had $3. She turns to my mom and asked her to match it. My mom, matches her $3, taking $2 and giving her a $5.
I’d say less than 2 minutes later, the request for the building fund starts passing the offering basket. My daughter, to my shock, pulled out the $5 she’d just received and dropped it in the basket.
With tears in my eyes, I asked why. She didn’t have a reason. She was saving towards this thing, and was a bit closer to her goal. And yet, she willingly gave almost all she had.
Right then, I offered to buy the thing that I had told myself I wouldn’t.
God cares about every single detail, and when we show that we trust Him, I believe He smiles and provides better than we can expect.
Friends, what are you holding so tightly to that God is asking you to trust Him so He can multiply it, beyond your imagination?
Would you trust Him, even when you can’t understand how He’ll do it?
The one thing I know.. His ways are not our ways..
Trust Him.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for such powerful reminders of how you answer prayers – even when we doubt that you will. Continue to instill kindness in me and allow me to do what you have asked of me.
