We Can End Well

As a last summer hoorah, my mom friend and I decided to take our girls to the bowling alley.

The girls excitedly called out the order they wanted to play in.

None of us were real bowlers. This was just a game for fun. As we commenced the game, I noticed that some were scoring really well.

As the game progressed, I noticed that those who started out doing well, fell behind and those who had started out not so well, had not just caught up, but were doing really well and exceeding those who had started well.

As I sat there smiling and observing, I thought how much this was a metaphor for life.

Some will start out doing well and life will happen. Some will start out not so well, and.. life will happen.

Let us not be judgmental, no matter where we deem others, or ourselves to be in life.

Life can happen to any of us, at any given time, and we can either move ahead or fall behind from where we are. I’ve come to realize that none of us are exempt from… life happening.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your grace; no matter where in life we find ourselves right now. Thank you that no matter how we start, with You leading, we can end well.
