I keep being amazed at what God is doing in my life.
Let me be the first to also tell you that my life is not perfect, but I am watching God do some things I would not be doing had I stayed in my comfort zone.
Please understand this is not bragging. I can only boast in what God is doing and how it humbles me to be used.
In the last week, I’ve spoken three times in varying capacities.
My sister friend took time out of her schedule to take me to Connecticut so that I could speak at a prayer breakfast. I was there to speak, but my heart was ministered to by the kindness of those who were in attendance and those who spoke before me.
I was able to go back and speak at my undergrad alma mater to a group of young ladies – and we talked about credit card debt, saving, investing and goal setting.
Then yesterday I was able to speak at a women’s conference in Boston. To be honest, when I read the bios of the women who were scheduled to speak, I had to ask God how did I ever get on that line up. And to add to what was already happening, we were presented with a Senator’s Citation for the work we were doing in our respective areas. I had the opportunity to share and cry with another special woman that I know was an answer to my prayer in going there.
I say all of this to say, if God is giving you instructions to do something, do it and let Him deal with the results. My instructions had simply been to show up and do one thing at a time.
What ‘crazy’ thing is God asking you to do, that makes no sense to you? And the best part? I still get to be a financial advisor and do what I’m passionate about – but in a way that meaningfully impacts my clients as I combine both my faith and the finance aspect.
I promise, you won’t be disappointed – just keep trusting the process.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that you know what’s best for us. Help us to walk by faith even when we don’t see or understand what you are asking us to do.
