Stay In Peace

This week I was dealing with some stuff. Lots of different personalities and some more difficult than others.

When Wednesday rolled around, and I was emotionally exhausted and tired of talking about the same situation that had been detracting time from other areas of my life, I decided to go on my church’s Wednesday night prayer meeting.

As May is Mental Health Awareness month, the theme being focused on is  ‘Sound Mind’. The focus for that night was ‘Stay in Peace’. Can I tell you how impactful those three words were?

I had been allowing myself to get angry and stressed out over this situation due to someone else’s behavior. As soon as I heard the message, I realized my directive: ‘Stay in Peace’.

The following morning I woke up and knew my course of action: Do not engage in any activity that would steal my peace and joy. I pushed off any conversation that would potentially get me upset. I then chose to focus on who and what I had control over: me.

Later, as a team, we were then able to accomplish what we needed to. And as soon as we got to the point when I felt my peace was being stolen, I opted to remove myself from the situation with an immediateness that I couldn’t explain.

Stay In Peace

Isaiah 26:3 states ‘You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because they trust in you’

Friends, are you in a situation that is threatening to rob you of your peace? Speak your truth in love, then.. Stay In Peace

Dear Heavenly Father, I remain so grateful that you care about all the details. You speak to the situations that seemingly have nothing to do with what I would think you care about – but you continue to show that you are the Father of the details. Thank you for your instruction on how to live our lives. Help us to listen and to act on your leading.
