Six Years Later

This morning I sit in complete awe.

As we were cleaning up, my daughter’s friend found a few of my original business cards that had fallen and asked me what to do with them. I opted to take them and look and reminisce.

I had started a blog and I was sharing with a stranger on the train. I had happened to print what I had up to that point and he sat reading them. He asked if I had a business card and I told him I didn’t. He said I should make some and even gave me the website.

Not long after, I went to the site and created the card. I put so little information on it as I did not want any of my information in the public (I’m still very private).

Now, as I look at the card, I’m thankful for that stranger. On the card, is my current business website and current business email.

Who knew that when I stepped out in crazy faith to share my faith journey, that was also God’s way of setting up the path to the business and purpose He would call me to?

So, within a few days (also my mom’s birthday), I will celebrate six years of blogging, and I’m now on my third business card, and hundreds of posts later. And countless lives touched and friendships that I have gained as a result.

A sweet friend recently shared that she’d want to come to my house on Sunday mornings for a dose of ‘therapy’… the writing that I share at that time.

Is there something that God has laid on your heart to do? Do it. Wade in. Jump in. Just do it. You never know the lives you may change, and it might just be your own.

Dear Heavenly Father, even now I’m so grateful for how you’ve moved in this time. It’s hard to believe these many years have passed and you have remained faithful with the messages to share. Thank you for always speaking to my heart first before anything goes out. Help me to continue to trust you.
