Peace, be still!

I’ve been debating/praying whether I should write or share anything today.
But as a result of a conversation, I realize that I must continue to do what I’ve been asked to do.
As we all know, there is a lot of ‘news’ out there on the coronavirus, the markets, and social media makes it easy to spread misinformation. How do we keep our peace in the midst of the world telling us that we should be anxiously hoarding toilet paper?
In Isaiah 26:3 NKJV it states, ‘You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.’
Psalm 46:10 NIV says ‘ He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Phillipians 4:6-7 NIV says 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
God knew that we would have moments and times of being anxious, so He has placed many promises in the Bible for us to be still and not to be anxious – even in times when the rest of the world is worried.
Please keep in mind that I’m not telling you to go and take unnecessary risks. God expects us to exercise faith, wisdom and prudence. And He also promised that if anyone lacks wisdom, we should ask, because He gives freely to those whom ask.
Dear Heavenly Father, there are many who are anxious, I ask that you calm our hearts. I pray that you teach us how to keep our focus on you as you have promised to keep us in peace when we keep our eyes focused on you.
