This week we took a pause from our regular life. We ended the school year and we were grateful.
I do want to share one message that has been a constant in my life ‘be still and know that I am God’.
This has been and still is one of my hardest instructions. It’s hard because I have been taught that I should be constantly doing and attempting to progress. It’s hard because we have been taught that if we want a particular outcome all we have to do is work hard and do it, in our strength. But alas… I’m also recognizing that if there are doors that shouldn’t be opened, there’s no amount of pushing that will make it open.
So, if you have been pushing in your own strength, I encourage you to take a pause and ‘be still’. Use that time to listen for any new instructions or reconfirm previous instructions.
This week, I paused. I let go of the need to be always on, and learned how to be present where I was. Something I hadn’t done in a long time.
What are some things that you need to ‘be still’ about so you can hear?
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the opportunity to pause and reset. Help me to appreciate this time. Please give me, and others, the wisdom we need to do what we need to do.
