I’ve thought long and hard about this title and a few could have won: ‘Take the Leap Part 2’; ‘God Said It Was Time’; and.. the one you’re seeing ‘Live Boldly’.
As I sat in the Christian Financial Advisor conference I was attending, the speaker asked us to share with our table mates the message we believed we were hearing. I started thinking and ‘Live Boldly’ came to mind. Another person mentioned ‘Boldness’ and after I shared my words, a third person at the table also mentioned similar words ‘being bold’. None of the presenters had talked about boldness.
I’m not sure if I would really consider myself as bold, but I think that’s what God is calling me to do.
A few weeks ago, my Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm got approved by the State. This was not on my immediate radar. Last fall as I started thinking about my five year plan, I thought it would be nice to do that. Very shortly after, I got the distinct sense it wasn’t to be a long term plan, but maybe, I thought it would be a year away. But within a matter of days, I had the very distinct sense that I needed to start planning.
If you know me, it won’t surprise you that I told God it wasn’t time, and all the reasons it wasn’t the right time. There were certain metrics I still needed to accomplish. Apparently God didn’t care about my metrics, because I felt a sense of urgency I’ve only felt one other time – it was time to move and start preparing.
So, within a few short months, I’m announcing that I’ve officially launched ‘Kaysi Gordon Financial Planning’. My firm is where ‘Faith and Financial Planning Meet’. I’m able to both advise my clients on their financial and non financial life, and pray with them on topics as I hear the need. It’s been an incredible experience.
I cannot thank enough my partners where God first called me to, and the previous training I received in my corporate role.
I now look back and see how God answered a prayer I said at 21, and has multiplied the results.
What are you asking God for? Are you ready to ‘Live Boldly’ and ‘Take the Leap’ when He tells you to?
I’ll be the first to tell you it can be scary. But I’ll also be the first to tell you, if God is calling you to it, He won’t abandon you.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that you don’t forget our prayer requests, even when we do. Thank you that you still speak to our hearts and asks us to live boldly and confidently in you and your love. Father, you know exactly what we need along this journey, and I ask that you provide for each of our needs.
