These were the words that came to me as I was getting ready for my day “Let not your heart be troubled” and to share with a specific friend.
I sent a message, along with an explanation.
Later in the week, as I realized I didn’t have a topic, I started asking God what my topic was to be. These words popped up again, “let not your heart be troubled”.
If you know me by now, I usually like to tell God what I’d prefer not to do, and I’d prefer not to write on this particular topic for my own reasons.
As I was in charge of leading out a segment at church and we had a specific topic, I was able to use the writing for that assignment to share for that week’s blog. Yay! I didn’t have to write on it.
Please don’t judge me too harshly. lol
Fast forward to this week, and I still need a topic, along with reading and listenin through the book of Exodus, the words came back..”Let now your heart be troubled”
As you know, there is a lot going on
right now. A lot that may be concerning
to some, and yet, there is a promise
found in John 14:1 “Let not your heart
be troubled, ye believe in God, believe
also in me.”
If you find yourself with more concerns than solutions, would you do everything in your power to hold on to the promises in the Bible?
As I’ve read through parts of the Bible,
God has a special affinity for those
who are in need, and His eyes are not
closed to what is happening or of
concern to you.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for
your love. Help us to see others and
love them in a way that you see us
and love us. Would you quiet our
hearts and remind us that we do not
need to worry if we believe in you?
