Keep Showing Up

Have you ever felt like you’ve been handed an assignment or a ‘to do’ from God that does not seem to make sense and you don’t seem to be making any progress?

My message for you today is: Keep Showing Up. Keep being faithful in your assignment, no matter what the current results look like.

After writing for nearly six years, and weekly, sometimes I feel like I’m not getting the traction that I should have had by now. Sometimes I have to ask ‘Lord, is this still the assignment for me?’ Knowing full well that it hasn’t changed, but you know, I just have to make sure.

Then God shows up and reminds me that it’s not about the social media responses. It becomes about the one on one heartfelt conversations that I have with friends when I run into them, or happen to speak with them, and they share how impactful the words I shared were, at just the right time.

As I asked the question last week, God graciously answered in a few ways over the course of the week, and it’s usually enough to bring me to tears and remind me of my simple assignment: ‘Keep Showing Up’

As I sat quietly waiting for my instructions on what to share this morning, I came across this verse in Isaiah 55:11 ‘so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.’

Friends, if our Father has called you to the assignment, keep showing up, you might be surprised how He chooses to use your obedience and faithfulness in ways that will blow your mind.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am so grateful that you are a gracious God and you hear and answer us when we call. You don’t just tell us what to do and then leave us to figure it out, but you have promised that you will never fail us and you will never abandon us, and for that, I am grateful.
