I just read today’s Intouch devotion that confirmed my thoughts on what to share today.
This past week I’ve been receiving notifications from Facebook that my posts are being removed. The notice as to why has been very vague.
If you know me, you know I’m very careful about what I post – both on the faith aside and on the finance side. But, for whatever reason, these posts aren’t meeting ‘community standard’. Some posts being removed were from 2018.
As always, I want to understand why, but with no clear communication, my need to understand will only cause me to be spinning my wheels.
As I’ve woken up this morning to more notifications, I’ve come to one conclusion/reminder.
Because God calls you to do something, doesn’t mean it will be easy or everyone will agree with your assignment. It’s not your job to explain to them until they understand. Your job is to show up and do your assignment. God’s plan cannot be thwarted.
If you are walking through a disappointing season, doing the thing that you wholeheartedly believe that you’ve been called to, seek God’s wisdom. Ask Him. He promises to provide just what you need – even if you yourself don’t fully understand what you need.
I’m a walking testimony of this.
At this point, I’ve had more than 100 posts removed. While it’s frustrating to not understand the true reasoning behind it, I know what my call has been: to show up anyway. So, I will continue to show up. I pray you will too. Even when life looks nothing like you expected.
Dear Heavenly Father, I’m so thankful for the peace that rests on me, even in the unknown. I know I am held in the palm of your hands and nothing will happen without you allowing it.
