I trust it now!

I enjoy walking the streets of Manhattan. There is usually something happening and if nothing is happening, people are just always around.

As I was walking to an event, I walked past two men, who were also walking, but deep in conversation. The snippet of the conversation I heard one say was ‘I trust it now. It would detour me if there was traffic or something, before I would be uncomfortable but I’ve realized it gets me where I need to go’.
I smiled. Just that morning, I’d already encountered Proverbs 3:5-6, three different times, and it wasn’t even 8:30 yet.
I thought of my own life. Sometimes when God has given me directions, they didn’t quite make sense to my frail human mind. But because of the way I’ve seen when I still follow the directions, I can confidently say ‘I trust Him now’.. the directions might have been different than I would have come up with, or thought of, but because of my experience, I can say.. I trust Him now’.
Proverbs 3:5-6 states: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Have you been rerouted by God and the directions seem unclear? Trust Him. He can see things that our feeble minds can’t see.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that you are even greater than GPSs.. thank you that you see all things and all the detours and construction way ahead of our path and can reroute us to save us from unnecessary hurts, delays and anything else we might not even see. Help us to confidently say ‘I trust Him now’.
