How God provides
I was having a conversation with a very good friend of mine and we were talking about the ways God has been providing for us. She’s been out of work but still has been able to take care of her bills and other things that she did before. We had a very similar incident happen to us but in different locations. We both went to separate hotels and our rooms weren’t ready. We were told that we’d have to wait a certain amount of time. As a compensation from my hotel, I was offered free breakfast, a value of about $25. As a compensation from her hotel, she was given a $100 credit to be used however she wished. Was I jealous that she’d gotten that? Not at all. I was happy for her because I saw it as God providing for her and I didn’t necessarily need it.
We were talking again about another event, and she was yet given something that I had not gotten. I was so happy for her because I knew it was God’s providential hands over her life.
I’m able to look at other people’s blessings and be truly happy for them, because I can look and see where God has taken care of me.
Just a few days ago (one of the reasons I’m sharing on this topic), as I was driving home, I realized that my daughter was going to need non uniform clothes to wear to school every day. I was about a minute away from home and thinking that I would need to see what she has and plan to go buy clothes. I got home and there was a package on my doorstep. I wasn’t expecting anything because I definitely had not ordered anything. When I went to investigate, the package had my name, for my daughter. When I opened it, there were so many pieces of clothing for her to wear, and even outfits for dressing up. I was literally praising God because I had not even asked, but He had answered.
I have many of these stories of how God has provided for me in times of need. While I don’t always understand what God is doing, I’m learning to trust Him with everything as He’s an on time God.
What are you asking God for? He’s able to do abundantly more than you can think or ask.
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for providing for us at just the right time. Sometimes we don’t see how it will come, but you somehow make a way and for that we are grateful. Help us to not look at what you are doing in other people’s lives and get jealous because as we are different, so are our needs and you know before we even ask what we need.
