This week was a hard week. It was challenging in so many regards. But then I had to change my demeanor as I changed from role to role from a career woman, commuter, mom, daughter and friend. For each role I played, I had to show up for the part and try to be there wholeheartedly and try not to let one role overcloud the other.
I had a conversation with a friend and she shared some of her struggles. As I sat listening to her and looking at her, all I could think was ‘Thank God we don’t look like what we’ve been through’.
For this season I am walking through, I am reminded of what my about to be counselor said when I reached out for a consultation… ‘no matter how good or bad, this time will soon change’. I have clung to those words for many years. No matter how difficult a season is that you are walking through, please be reminded that it will change. And if you are in a good season, enjoy it and use this time to strengthen your fortitude for when your time does change.
Are you walking in a difficult season? I promise you, it will come to an end. I look back over so many seasons that I thought would never stop or end, and guess what? I’m not dealing with those things anymore – and they are only a distant memory.
Be encouraged.. God gives power to the weak. Ask Him.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that seasons change. Thank you that we have a hope in you and we can look forward to a brighter day. Help us to learn from our experiences and to share with others, so they too can be victorious over trials.
