As I went about my day, this song started playing in my head.
I can’t say I was thinking about it, or that I’d even recently heard it. It had been quite a few hours since I’d heard any music, but here was this song playing in my head.
As I sat down, I realized I should probably listen to it. I searched the few words as I didn’t know the name or artist, and Bob Marley’s version came up. I smiled, but that wasn’t what I was looking for.
I kept searching. The song is by Ryan Ellis and was put on YouTube two years ago. The melody and words brought me to tears and worship. It was a beautiful reminder that everything was ‘Gonna be alright’.
I also noticed a comment from a mom about her son. I started praying for him too, and she mentioned her sons name, which was also my client’s son name, and I added my client’s son to my prayer.
While I never want to give false hope, I can share the hope I have, ‘everything’s gonna be alright’. My whole heart believes this – even if it doesn’t look as I expect.
Dear Heavenly Father, I’m so grateful for your love and care. Would you please remind us that even as we go through life, things may not look as we expect but things will work out? Please continue to keep us in your perfect peace as we learn to trust you.
