A few weeks ago, I had an appointment scheduled with a client and due to illness, we ended up needing to cancel it.
Fast forward to this week when the calendar worked and we decided to try to tackle the situation once more. It had been a long journey for the client and I wanted to do all I could to help. As we drove, I suggested we prayed that God would open the right doors and the right people would be there to help.
When we arrived, as we waited our turn in line, a lady came out to direct the person who was coming out with her. As I listened to the lady, I heard the all too familiar Jamaican accent. She then asked who was waiting to see her to everyone waiting, I was not fully sure who we needed, so I asked if we could come in and talk privately as I needed to explain the situation.
Upon entering the area, I greeted her warmly and told her I’d been praying for the right person and proceeded to explain the situation, in our native language, while still maintaining professionalism. This lady, understood the situation all too well, looked up the information, then directed us to the next person. As we were done with her part, I thanked her and told her that she had been an answer to our prayers that morning. I could see the gratitude she felt.
Within moments of waiting, the next person came out and advised of next steps.
This had been an answer we had waited months to hear.
This turned out to not just have a prayer answered, but turned into my client witnessing first hand that God still answered prayers, even when dealing with business related matters.
Ps. We had been told prior to going that someone had tried to do something similar and had been turned away.
Dear Heavenly Father, would you bless the lady who so graciously helped us? Thank you that sometimes we may be disappointed in delays but sometimes it is a set up for better than we asked. Thank you for being with us through this process and reminding us that you still answer prayers.
Merry Christmas and Happy holidays.
